Tall Ships

This is the closest thing we had to a summer trip this year. A day trip to Fort Macon State Park to watch the tall ships race. Unfortunately, you really couldn't watch the race from the swim beach like they hoped you could. So, we enjoyed playing in the surf for about 5 hours with a family we ran into down there that we knew from home. After we got out of the ocean, we drove down to the fort on the point and just then, the boats were coming back through the inlet to return to the port at Beaufort.

Mom and Curtis got some good pictures. It was fun to see them so close. After this we had a great dinner on the waterfront in Morehead and then drove home. The day was great and the kids had so much fun.

Introduction

Our family at a friend's wedding in October 2005. Leon and Michele, Curtis (10), Ivan (7) and Charlotte (18 months). We are about due for a new family photo.

Ivan will start 2nd grade tomorrow. Curtis will start middle school (6th) at the end of August. Charlotte is 2 now and her vocabulary is growing each day. Leon is working at Constrata in Youngsville and really likes it. Michele stays at home with Charlotte, unless school calls for a substitute teacher.
